NORC Seeking LTC Ombudsman Specialist!

The National LTC Ombudsman Resource Center (NORC) is seeking a Long-Term Care (LTC) Ombudsman Specialist to:

  • Provide technical assistance to state and local long-term care ombudsmen on LTC Ombudsman (LTCO) program management, LTCO advocacy, and issues affecting long-term services and supports;
  • Organize and develop training events (e.g., webinars, conference sessions);
  • Develop resources and materials for long-term care ombudsman programs;
  • Analyze LTCO program and policy information; and
  • Assist with special projects related to supporting and enhancing the work of long-term care ombudsmen in advocating for individuals receiving long-term care services.

Applicants must have field experience as a LTC Ombudsman, either with a state or regional (local) program.

An ideal candidate has: an extensive knowledge of the LTCO program, exceptional oral and written communication skills, training experience, the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines, and a collaborative work style. College degree required. Compensation commensurate with experience. Excellent benefits. Some travel required.
