Webinar - A Resident Threatens Self-Harm: How Does the Ombudsman Program Respond?

Join us for a discussion about the Ombudsman program response when a resident shares thoughts of suicide. Speakers will dive into the unique role and responsibilities of the Ombudsman program regarding confidentiality and disclosure, even in cases involving potential self-harm. Beverley Laubert, National Ombudsman Program Coordinator, Administration for Community Living (ACL) will review federal program requirements regarding disclosure and State Ombudsmen from Illinois and Colorado will share their states' policy and procedures. NORC will also highlight new resources, including program guidance and example policies.
