The Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program is federally funded under Title III and Title VII of the OAA and other federal, state and local sources. Title VII of the Older Americans Act (OAA) requires each state to appoint a legal assistance developer (LAD).

Initially released in 2016, this report features updated information on the organizational structure of State Long-Term Care Ombudsman Programs (SLTCOP) and is intended to support state agencies in understanding the unique structure of the programs.
