Connecticut State Ombudsman Mairead Painter was quoted in an article which discussed President Biden's proposed nursing home reforms which, although broad, did not include access to essential caregivers. Mairead was quoted saying that the support of family members for residents is essential, and that we need to ensure they are not kept away from their loved ones in the future as they were in the pandemic.
