Dallas County Ombudsman, Suzanna Sulfstede, Provided Questions for Families to Consider Before Removing Loved Ones from Their Facility

As the number of COVID-19 cases increase among residents in nursing homes, families are faced with the difficult decision of whether to remove loved ones from their facility because every family is unique with different resources and options. Dallas County Long-Term Care Ombudsman, Suzanna Sulfstede, spoke to WFAA and provided questions for families to consider before making this decision. Some of the questions include, “What does your home look like? Are you a capable caregiver? Do you have any other family available to help you?
