Connecticut Deputy Speaker of the House Presented With the Carol Rosenwald Award From the State Long-Term Care Ombudsman

October 31, 2019

Deputy Speaker of the House Michelle L. Cook was presented with the Carol Rosenwald Award from the State Long-Term Care Ombudsman during the 23rd Annual VOICES United Forum in Connecticut. Cook received the award “for her work and advocacy to improve the quality of care provided in long-term care facilities across Connecticut,” according to a statement. The VOICES forum is organized by the state Department of Aging and Disability Services’ Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program to help improve the quality of life and quality of care for residents in long-term care facilities across the state. The event provides long term care residents the opportunity to discuss important issues with state leaders. For the first time in the event’s history, it was held in conjunction with the Coalition for Elder Justice in Connecticut Symposium.
