New Jersey State Long-Term Care Ombudsman Laurie Facciarossa-Brewer was among several aging advocates and experts who were requested to testify during the first meeting of a newly created legislative committee focusing on aging and senior services. On January 27, Facciarossa-Brewer explained to the New Jersey Assembly Senior Services Committee that most complaints received by the New Jersey long-term care Ombudsman program tie directly back to unsafe direct care staffing levels and cost-cutting by long-term care providers.
