Vermont’s State’s Long-Term Care Ombudsman, Sean Londergan, shares own position in deciding whether a private applicant in ownership of nursing home business is rejectable. Sean Londergan is quoted in McKnight’s Long-Term Care News on his stance. Londergan mentioned that it is a tough decision because the applicated demonstrates the financial backing to adequately run the facility, which is hard to reject. However, this ownership group has been linked to COVID-era investigations and charges of inflating staffing reports, therefore unfit to own and purchase five more nursing homes in Vermont.
