Ohio long-term care Ombudsman, Denise Rising, is interviewed on World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, which was held on June 15. The COVID-19 pandemic isolated many elderly people, and it was hard to identify elder abuse virtually, as contact was limited, Denise mentioned. “We at direction home with our long-term care ombudsman, our caregivers, our family support network, we are there every day, and every day we are making those connections with our residents, and we are also making sure they receive top-quality care,” Denise said.
