Family members are concerned about the separation that comes from in-person visitation being forbidden as well as being afraid that staff are not taking the proper safety precautions when caring for their loved ones.

Rhode Island State Ombudsman, Kathy Heren, is Interviewed on Stimulus Checks in Nursing Homes

Kathleen Heren, Rhode Island State Long-Term Care Ombudsman, said in an email to the Providence Journal that she’d received reports that three nursing homes had taken residents’ stimulus checks. “I turned them in to the AG,” Heren said.
