CDC Videos to Educate Staff and Residents on Vaccine Safety Systems

This video on Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System, or VAERS, is geared toward certified nursing assistants and other facility providers. It explains how VAERS helps medical staff  report any concerning side effects in residents following COVID-19 vaccination, how to recognize some common side effects, and what should be reported.

This video is geared toward residents, their families, and healthcare providers. It explains how to register with the CDC’s post-vaccination health checker, or v-safe. The system allows vaccinated individuals to notify the agency via smartphone about vaccine side effects. It also provides second vaccine dose reminders, if needed.

Emergency Use Authorization
